About this event
The Algiers Economic Development Foundation describes the event as the largest public event in Algiers and the only holiday bonfire in New Orleans, paying tribute to Louisiana's river parish bonfire tradition with musical performances, food from local vendors and shopping from local artisans at the holiday market. The highlight is the 30-foot sculptural bonfire, designed by NOLA Burners, which is set ablaze after darkness falls on the banks of the Mississippi River. AEDF states the event is free and open to the public and is easily accessible via the Algiers ferry.
