About this event
New Orleans and Company describes Barkus as the parade that has gone to the dogs: costumed dogs are the centre of the parade through the French Quarter, with their humans as escorts. The January 31, 2027 date is the Sunday two weekends before Mardi Gras Day, February 9, 2027. The record is marked expected because the City of New Orleans had not published its final 2027 parade schedule at verification, and New Orleans and Company flags its 2027 dates and final routes as still to be confirmed.
