Satchmo SummerFest
Satchmo SummerFest returns July 31 to August 1, 2027 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, honouring the legacy of Louis Armstrong. French Quarter Festivals, Inc., the producer, published the 2027 dates at the close of the 2026 edition and describes the festival as free.

About this event
Founded in 2001 to commemorate the centennial of Louis Armstrong's birth, Satchmo SummerFest is a two-day festival of traditional jazz, brass bands and contemporary New Orleans music, with food vendors, a Jazz Mass at St. Augustine Church in Tremé and the Satchmo Salute second line parade. FQFI's wrap report on the 26th edition, held August 1 and 2, 2026 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, states that the festival will return on July 31 to August 1, 2027. Beverage sale proceeds help keep the festival free and support FQFI's year-round cultural programming.
