About this event
Caribbean Carnival/Friends of Culture, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Marilyn LaForce, provides a cultural link between the city of New Orleans and the islands of the Caribbean, and presents Bayou Bacchanal as its annual Caribbean Festival. For 2026 the organiser states the festival moves to a new location, Washington Square at 700 Elysian Fields Ave, and that there will not be a carnival parade this year. The organiser's vendor letter lists food, merchandise and non-profit vendors on the festival grounds, which open at 12:00 noon.
