About this event
Rex, founded in 1872, is the symbolic King of Carnival and the krewe that established the Mardi Gras colours of purple, green and gold. Its Mardi Gras Day slot is fixed: Rex rolls on Fat Tuesday itself, which in 2027 falls on February 9, 47 days before Easter Sunday on March 28, 2027. The record is marked expected because the City's final 2027 parade times and routes had not been published at verification.
