About this place

The aquarium sits on the riverfront at the foot of Canal Street, an easy add to a French Quarter day. The Gulf of Mexico tank and the tunnel through it are the headline, and one ticket also covers the Insectarium next door, butterflies included. It is compact enough for a couple of hours and air-conditioned enough to be a strategy in summer.
